This Privacy Policy describes how Shoji - Sudoku Master (“the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use our application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
This policy is provided by Good Air, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 42139558, operating in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The App tracks your progress, gameplay statistics, and performance on individual puzzle-solving techniques (such as which techniques you’ve mastered, mistake counts, and hint usage) to personalize your learning experience — for example, to identify techniques you may benefit from practicing further. This information is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party unless explicitly stated otherwise below.
Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed entirely through Apple’s App Store and StoreKit. We do not collect, receive, process, or store your payment details (such as card numbers or billing information) — this is handled directly by Apple in accordance with Apple’s own privacy practices. We receive only confirmation of your subscription status (active or inactive) in order to unlock the relevant features of the App.
We do not use third-party advertising networks, and we do not display ads in the App. We do not use tracking SDKs that access your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) for cross-app tracking purposes. If we advertise the App, we do so exclusively through Apple Search Ads, which uses Apple’s own privacy-preserving attribution framework (SKAdNetwork) and does not require access to your device’s advertising identifier.
Certain planned features (such as leaderboards, friend challenges, or multiplayer battle modes) may in the future require limited data to be transmitted to and stored on our servers — for example, a username, puzzle completion time, or match results — solely to enable those features. If and when such features are introduced, this Privacy Policy will be updated in advance, and where required by law, your consent will be obtained.
Any information collected (locally or, in the future, via a backend service) is used solely to:

Data stored locally on your device remains under your control and can be deleted by uninstalling the App or, where available, through in-app data reset options. Should we introduce server-side data storage for future features, we will retain such data only for as long as necessary to provide those features, and you will be able to request deletion of your data at any time (see “Your Rights” below).

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.
The App relies on Apple’s App Store, StoreKit, and (if enabled) Game Center for core functionality including purchases and, where applicable, friend-based features. Your use of these services is also subject to Apple’s own privacy policy, available at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly as new features are introduced. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and where required by law, we will provide additional notice.
